Born and raised in Kanana Park, Johannesburg South, Victor’s journey into the world of cars began during his teenage years. His interest in cars ignited a passion within him. From here he recognized that he wanted to build a career in the automotive industry. After completing his matriculation at Johweto Combined School in 2013, Victor took a significant step towards his dream by enrolling at South West Gauteng College. He completed his level 4 studies, earning his graduation in 2019, however, it was his experience at Sparrow FET College that truly changed his life trajectory.
Sparrow FET College provided him with a life-changing opportunity to undertake studying in Automotive Repair and Maintenance in 2021, during his time at Sparrow, Victor had the privilege of expanding his knowledge in mechanics and working alongside experienced professionals in the field. This experience not only equipped him with practical skills but also instilled in him the confidence to take on the role of a mechanic.
One of the stand-out features of Victor’s time at Sparrow was the supportive and patient environment provided by the facilitators, the equal treatment of all students fostered a positive learning atmosphere that allowed Victor and his peers to thrive. The skills and knowledge gained during his time at Sparrow opened doors for Victor, leading him to secure a workplace training opportunity at Volkswagen dealership in Lenasia. Continuing his journey, Victor found an apprenticeship at Superground (Auto Presto) where he was presently employed. This demonstrates the long-lasting impact of quality education and hands-on experience.
Victor’s success story serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration, showcasing the transformative effects of pursuing education at Sparrow FET College.
