Please Note: the R500 Application Fee that needs to be paid when starting your initial application to study at Sparrow FET College is compulsory and NON-Refundable. This money is used to cover all costs including the Assessment and Criminal Background Check. Writing an assessment and passing it DOES NOT guarantee admission into the College. Sparrow partners with industries, that pay for the training costs of the programmes. Many donors make their BEE Spend to sponsor programmes and therefore have certain demographic requests. If your demographic does not meet this request, we will not be able to offer you a position immediately but will put you on a waiting list so that when we get a client that will suit your demographic, we will be able to offer you a place at the college. Successful acceptance is based on: Course availability, sponsor availability, assessment results, interview results and a clear criminal background.

- Candidates must be vaccinated
- Academic requirements vary per programme
- Persons living with physical or cognitive disabilities are accepted on some of the programmes.

- A copy of your CV
- Proof of vaccination
- Bank letter confirming your banking details
- Your SARS INCOME TAX Number
- An affidavit from the police confirming your residential address

Important Financial Information:
Upon acceptance to the college, a registration fee of R1200 is required to secure your place in the program. Additionally, you will need to acquire a tablet through Sparrow, priced at R1500, for the online components of your coursework.
Also Note: The total upfront costs include the non-refundable application fee (R500), registration fee (R1200) and device fee (R1500), amounting to a total of R3200.

The college generally runs four intakes per year, but will add additional programmes at our donor’s request – If those programmes are full at the time of your application, we will hold your application over to the next intake.
